Dr. V. Ramachandran was born in Virudhunagar, India, in 1958. He received the B.E. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India, in 1980, the M.E. degree in power systems engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai, India, and the Ph.D. degree in power systems planning and reliability from Anna University Chennai, Chennai, in 1990.,He is currently the advisor with the Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), with 35 years of teaching and research experience. He has been the Director of the National Institute of Technology Nagaland, Dimapur, India, and the Vice-Chancellor of Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli, India, and has held many pivotal positions. His current research interests include data analytics, smart grids, distributed services, Internet of Things, and industrial automation.,Dr. Ramachandran has been an active member of various governance, executive, research and expert committees functioning for various educational motives.
